Be Nature-Sensitive

In our other sections, we offered you ideas to make your trip as eco-friendly as possible. Your behavior is what makes the difference, not only by protecting the ecosystems, but also by setting examples. Waste is one of the main issue local communities have to face, and you can reduce it by carrying a backpack while on treks and in the wilderness and get rid of your garbage upon returning to your lodge or hotel.

When shopping, try to avoid plastic bags or plastic packaging and take along your bag instead. Plastic water bottles are also another source of pollution, and as much as we recommend you to stay well-hydrated during your excursions, you should minimize the waste created by plastic bottles and refill it instead. Many hotels and lodges offer a refill for free.

You will find out that in some areas, people don’t really look after pollution issues, and littering is pretty common. It is not really a matter of not caring about it, but mostly of environmental awareness. So acting responsibly about it could set an example for those local communities and on a general scale as well. You will feel good about yourself and about the positive impact you create.

Additionally, our guides are very sensitive about the environment protection, and will constantly remind you of ecological rules to follow.
