Hostería Cantaelmar
Located in front of a beautiful beach and enclosed by amazing gardens, Hosteria Cantaelmar is one of the most complete eco-tourism destinations in Ecuador, promoting the creation of spaces where harmony and beauty, respect for nature's laws, community sentiment, responsibility over present and future life on Earth and the health and happiness of future generations are combined.
Mostly built in Caña Guadua, one of the most abundant types of native bamboo in the Ecuadorian territory and also the most valuable from an ecological point of view, the property is the largest caña guadua complex in America, regrouping restaurant, conference rooms, cabins, towers, botanical gardens, private homes and service areas within more than seven thousand square meters.
Constructions are designed to take advantage of sunlight and sea breeze. The bioclimatic designs, the natural materials, the landscape handling, the use of clean source of energy and recycling systems have made the constructions and their surroundings a complex full of beauty and harmony.
The property makes its own natural fertilizers and uses biological methods to cure and prevent sicknesses. The organic alternative agriculture represents the elimination of use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides and fungicides.
